Betsy is having trouble with letting Tim deliver that letter because on page 82 and 83 in chapter 7 she knows that Mr. Heron gave Tim a spy letter on Sam and the commissary. Because he found out that Sam and the commissary officers are buying beef. And she thinks that the letter is to the Lobster backs so they know were to they can find Sam and kill him.
I think they got into a fight because on page 83 and 84 in chapter 7. Betsy knows it’s a letter spy letter to kill Sam. But Tim thinks there no such as a thing. And Betsy wants to open the letter and lie to Mr. Heron about it. When Tim thinks that he could go to jail for something that was none of his business.
I am on Tim side because at this part of the story on page 84 when Betsy finally opens the letter then throws it behind her back for Tim to read it says nothing about Sam its only says something pretty weird that Tim doesn’t understand .I also thought that Betsy was being a bit paranoid

  2. I think Betsy has trouble trusting Tim for 2 reasons. First Tim said on page 80 he got his info from Mr.Heron who is a Tory.Second he also has trouble keeping the same story.
I'm not one hundred percent sure why that is but i have a thoery. I think it's because Tim was talking about sam. Also since Mr heron is a tory [it says on page 80] that it might be about how to stop the rebles.
Finally I think I could trust Tims mom the most. But this is mosty because she hasn't even said much.

Sam is having a hard time trusting Tim with the information about Sam for certain reasons. First of all, as stated on page 82, Betsy found out about the innocent that happened in chapter four when Tim nearly killed Sam with the rifle. This would have brought me and most likely Betsy some insecurities because what he could possibly do next is unthinkable. I believe that the main reason for the insecurity is that Betsy doesn’t want Sam to be caught in a war like he was before. Sam would surely get caught and he would be in HUGE trouble!

I believe, like on pages 82-84, that the letter was supposedly a spy letter about Sam, and the other “rebels” for information about them. Betsy didn’t want her boyfriend to be spied on. Also, in Betsy’s eyes, Tim would have appeared as if he betrayed his brother.

At this point in the story, I believe that I would trust Tim the most. Even though Tim has had his moments, I believe he is still very reliable. He obeys his parents, does what he is told to do, and never gets into arguments. These traits show he is respectful which means he most likely wouldn’t twist the truth.

I think Betsy was having a hard time trusting Tim because when she found him, she saw him stuff something into his shirt, I know it would be hard to trust anyone about anything if you knew they lied to you once. Another reason would be that Tim isn’t very good on keeping his story straight. This would also make me that couldn’t trust him.
I think Betsy and Tim got into a fight about the letter because Betsy knows that the letter is to help kill Sam and Tim doesn’t believe Mr. Heron would such a thing.
The person I would trust the most at the moment would be Tim’s mother because one she hasn’t said much and because mothers just want what’s best for their child or children. Also, I would trust her because she seems wise in what she does as most mothers do.

Sam is having a hard time trusting Tim with the information about Sam for certain reasons. The first example is when Betsy found out about the innocent when Tim nearly killed Sam with the rifle. This would have brought me and most likely Betsy some insecurities because what he could possibly do next is unthinkable. I believe that the main reason for the insecurity is that Betsy doesn’t want Sam to be caught in a war like he was before. Sam would surely get caught and he would be in HUGE trouble!

I believe, like on pages 84-86, that the letter was supposedly a spy letter about Sam, and the other “rebels” for information about them.

I think Betsy is having a hard time trusting Tim with information about Sam for two reasons. The first is about how Tim tried to kill Sam with the brown bess on p. 55. The second reason is Betsy thinks Tim's a tory. So she suspects he will tell everyone where Sam is.

On p.81- 84 Betsy believed that the letter Tim was caring a spy letter for Mr. Heron. She also believed that the letter contained information that might help the british win the war.

At this point I would trust Betsy the most because. Tim is having a hard time deciding is he is a patriot or a tory. While Betsy strongly believes is her rights.
